Halo Sport 2 focuses on the part of the brain called the motor cortex. This area of the brain is both mission control and the battery that fires your muscles - i.e., it's critical for athletic skill, strength, and fine motor skills. Importantly, the motor cortex is not a cognitive center, i.e., it's not involved in attention, concentration, cognitive memory, learning etc.
Although Halo Sport 2 does not improve memory in the cognitive sense, it does help to improve muscle memory. Make no mistake, muscles don't have memories: Rather, muscle memory refers to the brain's ability to consolidate specific motor tasks through repetitive training. Muscle memory enables musicians to accurately play thousands of successive notes at the right tempo, and enables athletes to perfect the precise movements needed for technical skills like catching, throwing, or shooting.
When a Halo Sport 2 Neuropriming session is paired with physical training, the brain is primed to more quickly generate and strengthen neural pathways for motor skills (we refer to this phenomenon as hyperplasticity). This enables muscle memory to develop more quickly as well. In essence, Halo Sport speeds up your brain’s natural ability to generate and optimize new neural pathways in the motor cortex. Strengthening these pathways allows physical skills to eventually be encoded and stored as muscle memory, accessible without conscious effort.
