Primers are designed to be long-lasting and repeatedly rechargeable using Recharge Packs. Their lifespan depends on frequency of use and proper care.
Your Primers act like sponges - they absorb water to help make good contact with your scalp. Over many uses, this ability to absorb water may decrease, which makes it harder to get good contact. When you notice this happening, use a Recharge Pack to restore your Primers' ability to absorb water quickly. Generally, we recommend performing a recharge on your Primers every 2 months (or more often, as needed) and replacing Primers every 6 months. Additionally, like your running shoes or the padding in your bike helmet, Primers can become physically worn out after extended use. You can purchase new Primers in our accessories store.
Check out this article to learn how to recharge your Primers. Your Primers came with one Recharge Kit, which includes a tray and two recharge solution packets; you can purchase additional Recharge Kits in our accessories store. If you clean your Primers vigorously, then you may need to recharge your Primers more often.
