Halo Neuroscience may release free feature enhancements, bug fixes and other updates for your headset through regular firmware updates. Some firmware updates are optional, but we highly recommended installing them to have the optimal Halo Sport 2 experience.
When a firmware update is ready, the Halo Sport app will show a small red dot next to the ‘Settings' tab at the bottom of the screen:
Note: If you don't see a red dot, make sure your app version is up-to-date and then try restarting the app.
Before beginning a firmware update, make sure that
- You have the latest version of the Halo Sport app.
- Your Halo Sport's battery level is at 50% or more.
- Your headset is not plugged into the charger.
To install the update, go into the Settings tab and tap 'Update':
The update process takes about 8 minutes to complete.
